Welcome to Equity Bank!

Here’s what American State Bank customers need to know about joining the Equity Bank family.

Making your Equity Bank transition easy.

On October 4, 2021, all American State Bank accounts will become Equity Bank accounts. As an Equity Bank customer, you will soon have access to all of our banking features and benefits, including digital banking tools, a free customized debit card, and no ATM fees nationwide. We want to make this changeover as simple as possible for you. Below, you’ll find the answers to all your questions about the process.

We’re a community bank focused on families, businesses, customers and team members. We were born in Kansas, with a corporate office in Wichita, and we’re located in 50 communities throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. Click here for more information about us.

Equity Bank is a community bank that recognizes the importance of local decisions and dedication to our local communities. We’re excited to serve our customers above and beyond our competitors. Just like American State Bank, Equity Bank is committed to the health, success and families of our employees, customers and communities.

First and foremost, your money is safe and sound, thanks to the FDIC’s guarantee on deposits with a federally-backed and well-capitalized financial institution. You may continue to work with your local bank, and you can continue using your accounts and debit cards as usual. When your American State Bank card expires, we will automatically send you a new Equity Bank debit card.

Stop in and see the same familiar faces you’re used to. You can continue to use and access your accounts just as you did before. When our systems have been updated, we will be in contact to provide instructions on how to access your accounts from Equity Bank. To get in touch with us, you can reach our Customer Care Team at (888) 733-5041, weekdays from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 12:30 pm.

As of October 4, 2021, your American State Bank accounts will become Equity Bank accounts. We expect no service interruptions. Until this time, please continue to use and access your accounts as you always have. You may still use checks, may still bank in the same location, and debit card service will be uninterrupted. The only change will be the name of your accounts, as reflected in the table below.

You will continue to see the same features, services, and fees on your account, and we will provide you a list of available accounts and features. One important thing to keep in mind: Equity Bank does not charge ATM fees at any ATM in the continental United States! When an ATM asks an Equity Bank customer to accept the charge, the customer can select accept, and we will suppress those fees.

Absolutely! Your local bank is a key to your community. We will continue – and, in some cases, expand – our community support efforts. You will still see your bank associates at football games, grilling hot dogs, and playing hosts to customer events in their communities. We also intend to keep doing business locally with the service providers, organizations, and community efforts that count on our support.

Watch out for any scams to obtain information by individuals or entities that say they are acting on behalf of American State Bank, Equity Bank, or the FDIC. If you are contacted by anyone requesting personal information from you, please contact the FDIC Call Center to report the incident at 1-800-517-1843.
